The Scratch Resistant Crocodile Clip is particularly useful when you are rhodium pen or brush plating. We plate these in-house to 10 microns with soft silver and then with a 0.5 micron top coat of gold for tarnish resistance. This helps to ensure you avoid scratching your work while plating. It also minimises the chance of contaminating your rhodium plate with copper via the copper crocodile clip at the end of the black lead on your battery pen.
